*Limited to 1 (one) visit per year per episode, for a total of 3 (three) episodes. The following critical illnesses are covered by this service provided that they are at an advanced stage and have undergone a specific course of treatment: Metastatic Cancer, Organ Deficiencies, Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, HIV Infections, Cardiomyopathies, Spinal Cord Tumors and conditions requiring surgical/procedural treatment, Multiple Sclerosis, Cardiac Valve Diseases, Pediatric Neurosurgical conditions, Pediatric Cardiac Diseases, Strokes, Cancer, Kidney Failure, Blindness.

For illnesses that do not appear in the above list of critical illnesses, a Second Medical Opinion may be scheduled on the basis of the decision of a medical team. This decision is based on the principle of considering cases for which there are insufficient health facilities within the Republic of Turkey for the illness or illnesses in question. In order to take advantage of our Second Medical Opinion service, a detailed discharge report from the doctor who treated the customer and the results of all examinations are required. When necessary, Akbank reserves the right to request other information and documents needed to prepare the report. For the initial Second Medical Opinion, the customer will not be asked for an exemption or to make an additional payment. Second requests by the customer for a Second Medical Opinion for the same medical condition will be taken into consideration; however, the customer will pay a service charge for an additional Second Medical Opinion.
